208 Plan FPA Amendments/Updates

Summary

Under the federal Clean Water Act and Ohio Revised Code, Ohio EPA should not issue a Permit-to-Install (PTI) or approve an infrastructure loan when either conflicts with the existing water quality management plan e.g. NEFCO's Clean Water 208 Plan. When such a conflict occurs, NEFCO’s role is to assist its member(s) in applying NEFCO's 208 Plan amendment process quickly and efficiently, but only if the pertinent wastewater management agency (sewer authority) requests an amendment through NEFCO. Below you will find the 208 Plan facilities planning areas (FPA) amendments and updates that the NEFCO General Policy Board has approved since the Board approved the 208 Plan’s Chapter 3 and Chapter 3 Appendices update on November 18, 2020, with exception to the Fish Creek FPA and Kent FPA amendment on June 17, 2020, which didn’t undergo public review and comments until after the public comment period for the Chapter 3 and Chapter 3 Appendices update had ended.
